Richard D. Pesavento, MD
Medical care is not one size fits all. It is important to me to listen to my patients and educate them about their disease and to devise a treatment plan that meets the needs of the individual and their family.
Richard D. Pesavento, M.D. a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, received his medical degree from the University of California-Irvine in 1980. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at Brown University, after which he served a Fellowship in retina surgery at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard School of Medicine.
After an eight-year practice in Boston, where he was on the staff at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and held active teaching positions at both Harvard School of Medicine and Tufts Medical School, Dr. Pesavento moved back to California, where he holds an active teaching appointment at Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
Dr. Pesavento is trained in all aspects of vitreo-retinal medicine and surgery, including intraocular tumors. He is also published in major ophthalmic journals and textbooks.
